Help me undertstand the concept of Laravel

Hello, my name is Denny. I am beginner of laravel framework here.
There are a lot of question in my head..

If i make an app like e-commerce, how many controller i need? which mean, it must have, signup,signin,product,etc.. So are different route must have their own controller?
Model, i know model is database layer,but can you help me understand the basic concept of it?
