Intro

Hello. My name is Dom, and I want to start building my apps in public. I want to talk about the process that goes into making my projects, the struggles that face, and how I overcome them.

Selling CoreIdea

As of recently, I have been working with a company to determine whether or not I will be selling or keeping CoreIdea. At the moment, they gave me $500 to keep. Based on what they think about the code and everything, I will receive an additional $1k if they decide that they like it.

This experience has been really interesting, teaching me about the business side of programming and how everything works. The process of getting to this point has been really cool and interesting, and I believe that I can build something great if I continue to keep on working and coming up with more ideas.

I already spent the $500 on school books due to the fact that my new private school requires the students to buy the books on their own. Even though I was awarded a really large scholarship to attend, it is still expensive to stay at the school. Busing alone is expensive. So the $500 has been a huge help.

Future Projects

I have been trying to do research on the next SaaS that I want to make. I really like making student and productivity-oriented apps; I feel as though they have a much larger audience and are more relatable to my situation. I can provide direct insight and determine if it's useful due to the fact that I know what it is and how I would use it.

Website to help with pricing SaaS apps

Coming up with SaaS prices can be hard. Developers often come up with unrealistic expectations and predictions of how much they could make and create unreasonable prices, which could drive away users rather than inviting them. I created a script that reads the users throughout the day, and based on that data, it generates a realistic subscription model and the realistic MRR that the SaaS will make.

The user will connect my website to their site. My site will log when the user enters the site to collect the daily users. At the end of the day, it will email the admin what it believes the subscription model (yearly, monthly) should be priced at. When users join the subscriptions, it logs it so that it can use those numbers to generate more accurate subscription models. At the end of each week, it takes all the data and creates a very accurate MRR and pricing model.

Study plan creator

There is a form that the user fills out, the name/lesson of the assessment, when the assessment is, files associated with the assessment, and details about the assessment to create a detailed study plan for the user to follow. It is something fairly basic but a good way to help with having a good plan for the assessment.

Closing

Overall, I am happy to have a fresh start and can't wait to get back into this. I also plan to start posting on YouTube and hope to build things up.
