I received JavaScript Hero of Community Award ๐ŸŽ‰

  • 61k

Last week, I had a great opportunity to give a talk at one of my favourite conferences recently – JS Poland. This is actually the second time I had a pleasure to speak there with the previous occasion where I was in the audience 5 years ago.

For me, it was a dream come true to speak at this conference while before being there in the audience watching the speakers and thinking how awesome it would be to join them one day. And last week, I was able to not only join the amazing speakers lineup for the second consecutive time, but I also received an award that means a lot to me!

Apart from me, there were 4 other folks who also got similar awards but in different areas. For some, it was about giving multiple conferences in a year, for others about publishing a new book.

If you would like to learn more about why I got the award, here are few words by Darek Kalbarczyk – organizer of JS Poland Conference:

Jakub Andrzejewski: Hero of the Community at the jsPolandConf Awards! ๐ŸŒŸ

At the JS Awards during JS Poland 2024, Jakub Andrzejewski was honored as the Hero of the Community for his incredible dedication and invaluable contributions to the JavaScript ecosystem. Jakub has been an influential figure in improving software development practices, particularly through his focus on Continuous Integration (CI) and automating quality assurance processes for scalable, maintainable applications. His work in educating and mentoring other developers has helped countless teams implement better CI pipelines, resulting in smoother workflows and higher-quality software.

This recognition highlights not only his technical expertise but also his passion for empowering developers and fostering collaboration within the community. Jakubโ€™s commitment to excellence, his willingness to share knowledge, and his efforts in improving development practices make him a well-deserved Hero of the Community. Congratulations, Jakub! ๐ŸŽ‰

Apart from just getting a reward, I was also giving a talk about how you can use Continous Integration to continuously improve Software Quality. Read more about it:

At jsPolandconf 2024, Jakub Andrzejewski dives into the critical topic of software quality with his session, โ€œEnsuring Great Software Quality -> Continuous Integration for the Win!โ€ In this talk, Jakub highlights how implementing Continuous Integration (CI) can dramatically improve the reliability, consistency, and overall quality of software development projects.

He explores best practices for setting up CI pipelines, choosing the right tools, and automating testing processes to catch errors early and facilitate smoother development cycles. This session is invaluable for developers and teams looking to strengthen their CI workflows and produce stable, high-quality applications.

I am so happy to get this reward and also getting another chance of speaking at amazing JS Poland conference. This is extremely rewarding for the work I do everyday to help Open Source communities grow and learn each day. I can't wait for the next year JS Poland conference! See you there! ๐Ÿš€
